“Helps potential customers and the media find you- Search engines love blogs!” Just to expand on that concept, search engines love links. Each blog entry should have a link back to your main web site. Search engines especially love links from referring pages about the same subject matter a the linked page. For example, an auto parts site is helped more by a link from a blog about auto repair than from a blog about flowers.

Good point! We have just begun experimenting with expanding our blog to include content from other authors. We link to them, and hope they will link to us as well. This shared content strengthens both sites

Thanks for the link to Jennifer Haubein’s article on my blog.

Yes,without a doubt, blogs can help small business marketing efforts, yet many business owners have a complete mis-perception of what a blog is and how a blog works. As a result, they miss a tremendous opportunity to spread their marketing message and build relationships with their prospects and clients.

It is much easier to write a blog then most people assume. Many of my posts are simply links to things I have found which I believe will be of interest to my readers.

If the comments are a little controversial, and it sparks some dialogue, great!

If the comments simply inform, and encourage people to come back again and again.. that is good too!

I think the trick is simply to start writing, and see what type of response you get!
