Lorraine Ball Named to IBJ List of Most Influential Women
Each year Indianapolis Business Journal recognizes local women who have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in their careers and community service. IBJ first published a list of influential women in 1996. They included government and civic leaders and top executives in a variety of industries.
It is really cool that this year the expanded the category to include women from the small business community and I am honored to be on the list. I am in very good company, along with:
- Joyce Sommers – Executive Director Of the INdianapolis Art Center
- Melina Kennedy – Baker and Daniels, who I hope will run for Mayor in a few years
- Claudette Einhorn and Yvonne Shaeen – Civic leaders and community volunteers
- Susan Brock Williams – Purdue University
- Alecia DeCoudreaus VP General Counsel, LIlly USA
- Beverley Pitts President, University of Indianapolis

Lorraine – congrats! What a great honor, though I’m not surprised. Your focus on helping other small businesses succeed is evidenced by exactly that – their success! You took us under your wing when we were a start-up and your insight and mentoring will always be appreciated.
Another thing I forgot to mention…the growth of your business is an excellent example of your marketing knowledge. Your leadership and influence are seen daily through your sharing of ideas. You not only teach…you DO!
