Organization is key for a successful business.  Diagramming your staff and reporting relationships is often accomplished with an “Org Chart”.  This graphic depiction clearly outlines who is responsible for what, and who reports to who.

In a recent blog post, John Janash, of Ducttape Marketing presented a marketing organization chart.  He subdivided marketing into four key elements; strategy, lead generation, lead conversion and customer service.  Under each “department”  he identifies the specific activities and marketing elements which support that marketing element.

The organization chart, a helpful tool for small business owners,  is divided into strategy, lead generation, lead conversion, and customer service.

As you are planning your marketing for next year, consider dividing your budget into subcategories, focusing more of your funds on the weakest portions of your marketing.

Include this marketing organization chart as part of  your overall business plan. Need help getting started?
