I first heard about RoundPeg on an NPR radio show earlier this week. The discussion focused around internships (unpaid) and how your interns were able to develop skills useful to the marketplace while helping your customers develop and enhanced social networking presence. Additionally there was mention of ‘non-conventional interns’, described as interns who were not college students but adults returning to the workforce or long term unemployed persons looking to enter into a new career.

Would you consider an intern who telecommutes?

With the advancements in social media, and the availability of video conferencing software (specifically google+ hangouts, but skype works too I guess) and the open nature of the internet it would seem a logical extension of your existing business.

A little about myself. I’m a computer expert with extensive experience located in Barre Vermont. I’m currently under-employed as a network administrator for a non-profit and unable to relocate beyond the local area due to my wife’s on-going chemotherapy treatments. (4.5 years and counting…)

I would love the opportunity to work with/for Round Peg to better my understanding and use of social media while possibly helping expand your companies local reach to other physical markets and permit the expansion of your workforce without increasing physical office space.

    Thanks for your consideration…
