Great point on logos not needing to say what a company does. Simplicity is more is the name of the game and this is what graphic designers should keep in mind. Logos are the companies’ face, emblem and the extension of the services and products they offer. Once overdone or the message you are trying to convey to your customers is not met then you fail.

Thanks for posting Lorraine! I too LOVE logos and I’m tickled to hear someone else does too. Typically, a logo’s design is for prompt recognition, inspiring assurance, acclaim, loyalty and implied superiority. The logo is one aspect of a company’s commercial brand or economic entity. A great logo is clean, simple and memorable (in my humble opinion). Cheers, Jill
