That&#8217;s what I was asking myself when she began telling the story of a donkey being buried alive after falling into the bottom of a well. What kind of macabre inspiration is that, I found myself wondering. But then, she continued. She told us about how that donkey refused to lay down and die. No matter how much dirt the people piled on him, trying to put him out of his own misery, that donkey didn&#8217;t give up. He shook that dirt off&#8230; and stepped up. Over and over and over again. Never wavering from his goal, never laying down to whine and moan, he shook it off again and again until he was standing at the very top of the dirt pile that filled in the well, and walked right out into freedom.
