I found this terrific little video on Chuck Gose’s blog full of great statistics on how B2B is now leading B2C in the realm of social media. Full of interesting facts, most of the data seems to be about larger companies.  Since I am more concerned with how small business owners are using social media, I thought it was time for me to conduct my own survey!

It is only 12 questions,(plus the profile) so it won’t take very long. We will be collecting the data all week, so if you are interested check out our blog next week for the results, and add your email address and I will send the results to you.

Social media has continued to drive business for our specialty bakery. I have seen a strong search this year in engagement from Facebook users. So much so we decided to invest time in a facebook application to allow facebook users to send our cakes via facebook….

The biggest problem we have is effectively measuring the percentage of leads we get from social media – so I had trouble accurately answering that particular question on the survey. It’s more of a guesstimate…

    Anne,

Thanks for your comment. It is a learning curve for all of us. By the way, your online marketing does work, because that is how I found you. Although I am not in your market, I do write about your company from time to time!

Interesting that YouTube wasn’t on the list of networks.
