Recently I sat down with Alex Baker, Chief Executive at Infinistorm. Alex has a passion for technology and every time I speak with him I learn about new ways businesses can leverage technological advances.
As I caught up with Alex in a very noisy coffee shop, he was very excited to talk about “virtualization”. While large corporations have taken advantage virtualization for several years, it is now a viable alternative for smaller businesses, which make up the core of both Alex’s (and our) clientele.
Some of the advantages Alex highlights are:
- Energy savings
- Increased protection from spyware and malicious software (a problem that can seriously hinder any business)
- The ease of updating software once a company takes its IT programs to a “virtual desktop”
