Who are You in 140 Characters or Less?

Twitter bios are an interesting view into what is really important to someone.  In 140 characters or less you have a chance to tell people who you are, what kind of information you share, and who you want meet. Complete strangers read your bio and decide whether they do or don’t want to follow you.  So what do you say?  Who are you? One More Network, One More Measure

Twitter has Klout, Facebook has insights, and G+ now has Social Statistics.  Google+ Statistics track the top 100 users and the most popular posts on Google+. It also gives you your relative position in the Google+ universe.  As of this writing I am around 18,948 out of the  870,000 profiles they are tracking.  I am not really sure what that means, but they do offer a nice little badge I can put on this post to proudly proclaim my status. Yellow Page Advertising? Seriously?

When was the last time you opened a dictionary or encyclopedia? With spell check, dictionary.com, Wikipedia and Google, why would you need to? Need directions? Mapquest and GoogleMaps are at your finger tips.  And if you are out and about, mobile applications like Yelp and Urbanspoon can help you find the ideal dinner spot or the closest dentist.  And best of all, many of these suggestions come bundled with user reviews.
