The Power of the Porfolio

The Power of the Porfolio

Designers Allan Misch and Reed Bobrick came together to form  Misch Bobrick Design. Experienced professionals, each of the designers had a significant body of work in both commercial and residential applications.

The challenge was to build a portfolio for their website which would showcase their many pictures. For this project, we chose the Deep Focus theme by Elegant Theme. It has a sleek, modern look which created a terrific back drop for the photos. It is also a very well-constructed theme with an extraordinary portfolio feature.

The new bulk upload feature in WordPress made it easier to upload multiple pictures at once, but they still needed to be labeled individually to support the visual content strategy for this site.

This project was fun because every member of the team had a chance to work with the client on different aspects of the project. Jenna updated the text treatment for their name and created a companion avatar for social media. Allison wrote the copy for the site and conducted social media training sessions. Peter built out the framework of the website, and I uploaded and labeled the hundred-plus photos which comprise their library.

With superb client communication, we were able to build a great relationship and a true team effort, the site went from idea to launch quickly. We are happy to have had the chance to help create a digital portfolio for Allan and Reed, creating a site we are proud to put in our portfolio as well.

No other interior design group has anything like this. I think the portfolio really shows off the depth of their expertise. Of course, it all works because Misch Bobrick Design has so many super pictures.
