Twitter Friends

When @MiniPeg ( my daughter Michelle) was growing up one of her favorite books was Orlando’s Little-While Friends. As we moved from Dallas to Indianapolis, the simple premise of being open to making new friends wherever you are helped ease the transition. I stumbled across a copy of the book recently, and I realized the author’s advice made equally good sense to people just beginning their journey into the world of Twitter. As Orlando’s family sets out in their super-shiny-travel-anywhere van he is afraid he won’t find anyone to play with along the way....

Social Media and Small Business

Over the last year we have seen a dramatic increase in the amount of activity and energy our small business clients have directed toward social media.   Our annual survey this summer indicated a strong increase, but new research by Zoomerang indicates the trend is even stronger then we imagined. Blog Fuel with Social Media Examiner

At last week’s Innovation Summit, Michael Stelzner, Executive Editor of Social Media Examiner  kicked off the program by sharing his simple, sensible strategies to grow your blog and social media presence.  As I  listened and wrote feverishly, I was pleased that many of his suggestions we had already put into action at Roundpeg. But there were others I had never thought of, but am looking forward to trying out. He suggested: Your blog should contain a drop of marketing for every gallon of content.   He recognized that you need to “sell” from time to time, but you...
